Is LifeHouse the same as a recovery home or halfway
house?
No. LifeHouse provides no therapy, treatment, or formal counseling.
We encourage our residents to assume responsibility for themselves
and for the family group. We create a wholesome and loving environment
with minimal structure through sharing and self-discipline. We
adhere to house standards because to violate them hurts our common
goal: maintaining a supportive "family".
How much does LifeHouse cost?
Monthly fees will vary depending on the area in which a home is
located. Please refer to individual home links for information
on monthly fees.
Who manages LifeHouse?
LifeHouse is resident-managed sober living. The residents meet
weekly to address management issues in the home. The house manager
is a long-term resident of the house who has demonstrated managerial
skills and long-term sober living.
What should I bring to LifeHouse?
Residents are responsible for their own meals and personal hygiene
needs. Through a house fund, split betweeen the current residents,
items such as laundry detergent and other basics are purchased.
Are visitors allowed?
Yes. However a curfew of 10:30 PM applies to visitors, they may
not stay over-night.
Is there a Curfew?
For the first 30 day residents are required to be inside the house
before 11:00 PM every night. After that, residents are asked to
be respectful of the other residents with their work schedules,
but no set curfew is present.
