The sober community in the
Poway area is very active, with several meetings each day at the
Poway Alano Club and many other meetings each week in the surrounding
area. The community of Poway itself has a small town feel to it,
and with the population of those in recovery in the area, new
comers to the program and those just moving to the area, soon
feel they are 'home' once they start getting involved. Close to
Poway is also the Rancho Bernardo, and Mira Mesa groups.
